A local court today framed charges against former Delhi High Court Judge Shamit Mukherjee along with four others in a Delhi Development Authority (DDA) land scam case.

The court also framed charges against former DDA Vice Chairman Subhash Sharma, Personal secretary to former DDA Vice Chairman Ashok Kapoor, sacked Delhi Police Constable Vinod Khattri and alleged middle man Dharambir Khattar under the provision of the Prevention of the Corruption Act for dealing with the conspiracy and extending undue benefits.

The CBI in its petition alleged that Mr Mukherjee had granted an interim stay in favour of co-accused Khattri who prevented the DDA from reprogressing the encroach land from him.

Additional Session Judge I K Kochhar adjourned the matter for further hearing till May 26.
